Saddened
Are your footsteps
so alone

When did yesterdays love
leave your path
to be on his own

From your feet to mine,
Upon the breeze
Glides the request

To amble awhile
To saunter
To meander along  together

Two roads that join for a day
Tell past the bend ,  or the hill,
When they again,  will depart their own ways

On this path together the world becomes real
With the second as the witness
To the whispering grass in the fields

A witness to the laughter that became a song
A witness to the blue jay that flew beside us for so long
A witness to the sun giving way to the dark of  night
A witness to the stars that lifted our dreams to flight

Alone all these things
Would have just  passed and faded away
Never  becoming  anything

Like they did
For us
That day
